D. Scott Rendleman

D. Scott Rendleman is a member of the firm’s litigation department.  After 15 years of defending medical malpractice cases in Chicago, Scott moved to Colorado and joined Messner & Reeves.  He handles medical malpractice defense, construction defect defense and product liability defense matters.  He also assists businesses facing a variety of claims.  He is licensed in Colorado, Illinois and Missouri.

Scott has tried to verdict as lead counsel several potential multimillion-dollar cases. In 2005, when he was 37, Martindale-Hubbell designated D. Scott as an AV®-rated Attorney, the highest rating for attorney competence and ethics.  He was recognized by the Illinois Super Lawyers publication in 2007.  Scott’s trial experience has covered a variety of claims, including catastrophic injury, birth-injury, delay in diagnosing cancer, adverse surgical and anesthesia outcomes and emergency department diagnosis.  In addition to his experience with trial, Scott effectively manages and pursues the discovery phase of litigation, resulting in many cases being voluntarily dismissed with no payment.
